Manufacturing Test Engineer

We are looking for strong candidates that have an interest in building great products and our office in Berlin is hiring for the position of a Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer**.** As part of SumUp's Hardware team, you’ll lead off the manufacturing process in all EMS.

In this role you will:

• Develop the production Test strategy for our payment terminals

• Design the test equipment and diagnostic software for our production lines and R&D tools

• Implement tests tools for highly automated production

• Develop, program and maintain all the testers (ICT, test PCB fixtures, functional testers, automated tests) of all terminals in the Group for Operations

• Improve the cycle time for each test station optimizing the costs and associated NRE to enhance production efficiency

• Analyze investments and launch innovative automation solutions to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality of our product production lines

• Travel to our EMS minimum 50% of your working time

You will be a great fit if you have the following qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Manufacturing Test Engineering in the electronics supply industry

• Experience with C Programming in Embedded Linux environment

• Experience with Labview NI and TestStand

• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Automation solutions (Vision, PLC, real-time app, robotics, step motors, actuators, poke yoke, etc…)

• Familiarity with concepts of Lean manufacturing, Kanban and Kaizen

Nice to have: 

• Speaking multiple languages is a big plus
