Our team of 16 designers is split into two general departments covering Product and Brand design. Product Designers work in collocated cross-functional teams with designers situated in Berlin, Sofia and Saõ Paulo producing solutions for native mobile, web and our bespoke hardware. Recently, we spent some time developing our Design System; Circuit UI and redesigning our primary mobile app on iOS, as well as a bunch of other product features and improvements.

What you're going to do

As Product Design Lead your responsible for helping create simple yet beautiful solutions which cater to real life problems. You will be leading a team of up to 5 Product Designers and collaborate closely with the product and tech leadership to shape our products. As we put the user at the centre of every decision we need a strong leader that constantly advocates and drives a human centred design approach. You will support squads by applying your craft, while also driving the evolution of our processes and guidelines to educate fellow designers in how to best approach problems.

  • Work directly with Product designers and engineering leadership
  • Lead and steer designers
  • Help shaping team roadmap and collaborate with product and engineering counterparts to lead the vision of the product
  • Collaborate with designers to make the whole team better
  • Advocate for design and drive a human centered design approcah
  • Support squads by applying your craft
  • Use and develop process to educate teams and fellow designers in how to approach problems
  • Giving strong direction on layout and visual hierarchy to other designers in team
  • Advocate for evolution of design principles and guidelines across all of our products
  • Strong understanding of information architecture across different platforms
  • Oversee holistic user experience
  • Good understanding of platform-specific patterns
  • Sharing early and often and encourage peers to seek out constructive feedback / facilitating feedback and healthy criticism in the team
  • Validate assumptions with qualitative and quantitative data and hold other designers accountable for validating though the lens of data

Requirements

  • You have 6+ years experience as a UX & UI Designer
  • Experience leading a team of at least 3 Designers
  • You know the common design tools and services (we mainly use Figma)
  • You have experience in working in an agile environment and the ability to adapt quickly to changing product priorities
  • Your excellent communication and presentation skills will help you collaborate with team members from a wide range of countries and cultures
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies (e.g., CSS, HTML, JS), experience with prototyping tools or motion design is a plus
  • You are comfortable in English. Any other language is a bonus.
