SumUp is off-shelf available at ‘Bricks & Mortar’ retailers with a rapidly growing footprint of 1500 stores and webshops across the EU, making retail a key acquisition channel for SumUp. As our Head of Retail you will be a responsible for the performance, operation and strategy of our retail acquisition channel. You will develop a growing commercial team including sales-, partner- and trade marketing managers, setting the pace and direction of the team and channel.
What You'll be Doing in This Role
You will drive & accelerate growth of our retail channel across the EU
You will have full ownership of growth strategy of the channel incl. customer acquisition budget, pricing and go-to-market of new products
You’ll be accountable for meeting sales, net revenue and payback targets
You will motivate, set the pace and give guidance to a commercial team of experts in sales, key account and trade marketing management.
You will collaborate closely with our marketing, hardware, logistics and design team.
You’ll guide the negotiation and execution of strategic annual marketing plans.
You will develop promotional and pricing strategies and monitor/optimize regularly.
You will be part of SumUp’s Growth Team, reporting to our EVP Europe & CCO
You have minimum 5 years experience working in Business Development, Sales or Product Management. (FMCG / Retail experience a plus)
You know how to effectively set targets, analyse results and give direction to drive the team’s and channel’s growth.
You have a proven track-record in managing and growing a team;
You are self-motivated, proactive, persistent, pragmatic and have a can-do attitude.
You have completed a bachelor's degree, having an MBA will be considered a plus;
You have excellent presentation and language skills (verbally and written) in English - you'll be part of a truly global company! Fluency in additional European languages is considered a plus
You feel comfortable communicating with and convincing C-level business partners.
You must be willing to be located in Berlin full time.
