Our SumUp office in Berlin is currently looking for a Senior Data warehouse developer to build and scale our data warehouse while working closely with our BI team and stakeholders from various business processes. You are going to focus on developing insightful and easy to use data marts. 

What you’ll be doing in this position:

  • Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements, understand the needs for analytical data and create dimensional designs

  • Develop and maintain data marts and analytics architecture to meet business analysis, and reporting needs

  • Develop and maintain ETL jobs and data pipelines to collect data from various sources: production DB, cloud platforms, social media, and partners

  • Adopt new technologies, grow professionally, mentor team members, help analysts optimize their queries and share your knowledge and experience

What you'll bring along: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Data Science/Analytics or other related fields

  • 7+ years of experience in data modeling, designing of DWH and analytical data marts

  • Advanced skills in PostgreSQL, Redshift, pl/pgSQL, Python, Airflow, git, etc.

  • Experienced in making ETL jobs, and knowledge of ETL tools

  • Ability to develop DWH solutions that match business requirements

The following skills would be an advantage:

  • Knowledge of agile principles, Scrum and Kanban

  • Knowledge in the fields of BI, data science, analytics or statistics

  • Experience in reporting, data analysis, and data visualization

  • Hands-on experience with AWS

  • Knowledge of Spark, PySpark, R
