We’re seeking a Head of FP&A to help us build a global FP&A function, with teams distributed across different regions. Considering the rapid growth of SumUp and the demand of a more detailed forecasting and data, this person will be decisive in designing and implementing a data-driven FP&A function, in order to lead the company’s decision-making and help bring SumUp to the next level.
What you’ll do
Prepare internal reports for executive leadership and support their decision-making.
Create, update and maintain financial models and detailed forecasts of the company’s future operations.
Compare historical results against forecasts, and perform variance analysis to explain differences in performance and make improvements going forward
Map out growth plans, generate financial forecasts and consider opportunities for the company to expand or grow.
Evaluate whether the company’s current assets and investments are the best use of the company’s excess working capital, by looking at return on investment (ROI) and comparisons with other ways the company might utilise its cash flow.
Gauge the company’s overall financial health, primarily by using key financial ratios such as the debt to equity ratio, current ratio and interest coverage ratio.
Examine and evaluate the cost-efficiency of each department of the company, in light of what percentage of the company’s financial resources each department consumes.
You'll be great for this position if...
You have previous experience leading the FP&A area across multiple countries/regions and in a matrix structure.
You have solid experience building financial models and forecasting processes.
You have experience working with data and delivering financial reports.
You have strong business acumen, analytical skills and an ability to engage stakeholders.
Experience in listed companies is a plus.
