You will join a group of highly motivated individuals who acquire new partners for SumUp; based in our London office within the Sales & Partnerships team.

We're looking for an Entrepreneur in Residence intern who will work closely with the Head of UKI to develop, drive and implement strategic projects that drive Sumup growth in the region. This program will give you an opportunity to work on a complex project with experienced stakeholders who will guide you along your journey — be warned: a successful outcome will rely on your determination to get the job done.

The Entrepreneur in Residence intern will deliver analytical and operational excellence to launch successful projects. This role starts as a 9-12 month internship but has the opportunity to grow into a full-time position within Sales & Partnerships in the future.

What you’ll be doing in this position

  • Your will validate, develop and drive strategic growth projects from concept to implementation and be held accountable for timelines and deliverables. 

  • Conduct research to enable data-driven decisions

  • Conduct market sizing and competitor research

  • Build financial models to stress test unit economics

  • Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders

  • Develop and implement effective and highly scalable processes

  • Create and implement the roll out strategy for the project 

  • Achieve agreed success milestones

  • Ask yourself "What's next?" - do not wait for your tasks!

Your profile

  • You hold a university degree from a top-tier university or have 1 - 2 years of professional experience in a high performance culture, e.g. at a top-tier consulting firm or high-growth start-up

  • You are a very analytical and you test and adapt strategies continuously based on data

  • You are structured and process-driven and have proven that you move strategic projects forward in-time and with the desired impact

  • You excel at communicating a vision and motivating others

  • You are passionate about building strong relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders, continuous learning and the future of work.
