Senior Demand Generation Manager

The Senior Demand Generation Manager is responsible for overseeing, planning, developing and executing inbound and outbound marketing efforts to drive quality leads for our sales team, grow the opportunity pipeline and increase our revenue potential. We're looking for a dynamic person to bring creativity, passion, innovation and a results based mentality.

Working within the Sales and Partnerships team, this role requires a self-starter with experience in managing and executing demand generation projects and an understanding of digital marketing in an international B2B environment. 

You will collaborate with sales, content, online marketing and marketing to pull together integrated campaign activity. Based in our Berlin office, you will have a keen desire to work in a fun, agile and fast-paced environment, supporting a group of highly motivated individuals who acquire new partners and merchants for SumUp.

What you’ll do.

  • Lead, design, and execute demand generation strategy and campaigns to drive marketing qualified leads through organic and paid channels, including social, search, display, partnerships/affiliates, and other online and offline tactics

  • Drive creation of compelling and effective campaign ads and landing pages for each stage of the buyer’s journey. 

  • Experiment to continuously improve the quantity, quality, conversion, and cadence of leads 

  • Partner with Marketing, Content and Online Marketing to drive campaign development, alignment and execution.

  • Collaborate with content stakeholders to develop and distribute lead generation content through targeted channels to grow new leads and drive revenue. 

  • Actively recruit, manage, and assess external agencies / lead vendors to support required lead volumes. 

  • Own and manage the budget and plan for all demand generation activities and be responsible for ensuring demand generation campaigns are implemented on time and within budget.

  • Develop a marketing automation and lead nurturing process to accelerate the lead funnel.

  • Collaborate with Sales Ops to interpret campaign data to assess program performance, report on key metrics and optimise lead conversion to improve returns on investment and meet revenue targets.

You’ll be great for this position if

  • You’ve completed a Bachelor's, Master's or MBA in a relevant field (marketing, communications etc)

  • You have 5+ years of experience working in a demand generation role

  • You have a strong knowledge of the various marketing disciplines especially B2B marketing and digital marketing including website, SEO, email, and social media and paid channels

  • You have excellent working knowledge of tools like Linkedin Marketing, Facebook Ad Manager, AdWords, Taboola, Outbrain.

  • You have experience in Marketing Automation and Salesforce CRM.

  • You have knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices

  • You have knowledge of Google Analytics and experience running detailed campaign reporting

  • You’re a team player who loves to collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams

  • You are hugely motivated by achieving metrics (Leads volume, revenue, ROI etc)

  • You're a natural at, and love, collaborating with others to come up with creative, unique and impactful programs

  • You are self-motivated and self-managed: able to think independently, get feedback and find solutions
