About the role

As a content writer, you will be an advocate of the SumUp brand in the UK market by creating engaging and compelling content. You will report to the Content Lead in Europe and will:

• Work with the content and country teams to set the vision for our content strategy in the UK and drive cohesive narratives across multiple platforms and touchpoints. 

• Create fresh and compelling copy for all our marketing channels, incl. emails, blog, social media, performance marketing campaigns, website, etc.

• Identify new content needs, and keep the editorial calendar up to date by targeting our main audience, while testing initiatives across the different channels

• Ensure we present a consistent brand across our content

• Monitor the content strategy of relevant competitors, stay on top of the latest industry trends and share them with the overall marketing team

• Become the expert for the SumUp UK market and understand local content needs / develop local content ideas

 YOU'LL BE GREAT FOR THIS POSITION IF

• You have native-level English-speaking and writing abilities

• You have 2-3 years proven track record of relevant experience in Marketing or Communications

• You have an editor’s eye with the ability to craft engaging yet concise content

• You have a hands-on mentality, put strong attention to detail and have the ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy in writing

• You have a good analytical understanding and are able to make content decisions based on data
