Global Benefits Specialist

SumUp is seeking an experienced Global Benefits Specialist to join the SumUp team in the Sofia office.

You will support the Global Benefits & Mobility Lead as part of the overall Total Reward team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, project and stakeholder management skills, as well as a collaborative mindset.

This role

What you’ll do:

The Benefits Specialist is focused on benchmarking, identifying gaps in our offering and implementing comprehensive benefits packages (health, retirement, wellness) across all countries aligned with the overall Benefits Philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administering and Managing Benefit Programs:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of various benefit plans, including health insurance, retirement plans, disability, and leave programs. 

  • Communicating Benefits to Employees:

  • Explaining benefit plans, conducting orientations and open enrollment sessions, and developing communication materials are crucial for employee understanding. 

  • Resolving Employee Issues:

  • Addressing inquiries and concerns related to benefits, ensuring timely and accurate responses. 

  • Ensuring Compliance:

  • Staying current with federal and state regulations regarding benefits and ensuring adherence to those regulations. 

  • Collaborating with Vendors and Brokers:

  • Working with insurance providers, benefit administrators, and other external parties to manage benefits offerings. 

  • Analyzing and Reporting:

  • Evaluating benefits program effectiveness, analyzing utilization data, and preparing reports for management. 

  • Researching and Recommending:

  • Staying informed about market trends, researching new benefits options, and recommending changes to enhance the overall program. 

  • Designing New Programs:

  • Assisting in the development of new benefits programs to meet evolving employee needs and organizational goals. 

What we're looking for:

  • You have experience building a benefits portfolio across multiple countries

  • Are skilled at project management and benefits implementation

  • You have a solid understanding of benefits regulatory requirements and compliance across multiple countries

  • You strive for efficient, effective and transparent processes

  • Care deeply about the employee experience and employee communication

  • You enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, and take ownership of your work.

Compensation: 

  • Range to be determined based on hiring location

  • Compensation will be finalized based on the candidate’s experience
