Agile Coach - Merchant Success

The vision of the merchant success tribe is to become true partners to our merchants globally by helping them drive their sales growth and profitability as well as delivering an effortless issue resolution and educational experience. 

As an Agile Coach, you’ll be instrumental in helping us deliver personalised digital account management experiences and solutions at scale. This will be done by working closely with our cross functional teams, nurturing an agile mindset in all facets of their engagements and providing guidance particularly in complex domains. Your excellent interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, strong communication abilities and technical knowledge will serve you well on this journey.

You will be working with people of different backgrounds, experience, skills, and needs, and you will use a flexible approach and various coaching stances as appropriate. As an integral part of the squad, you will encourage an agile mindset, help foster positive team dynamics, consult on agile tools/practices, and help facilitate events as needed.

What you’ll do

  • Demonstrate an agile mindset in everything you do and exemplify the principles and values of agile software development

  • Organise, run and facilitate events and rituals that support the squad in inspection, adaption, continuous improvement and in delivering working valuable software early and often

  • Teach, mentor and consult the squad and individual members as needed on practices, techniques and tools that help them achieve greater agility

  • Coach the squad on how to identify and resolve or escalate impediments that get in the way of their vision, mission and goals

  • Work with the global Agile Coaches Chapter to exchange ideas, share successes, learn from failures and promote organisational agility

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You feel at home as part of a human complex adaptive system in the software development business. Transparency, inspection and adaptation are second nature to you.

  • You’re a catalyst for positive change, and bringing out the best in people and teams makes you genuinely happy.

  • You have a vast collection of agile coaching approaches, practices, tools and techniques in your toolbox and understand the application and value behind each one. 

  • You have prior experience as part of an agile transformation, preferably in a coaching role.
