Business Operations Manager

The Merchant Growth Tribe’s mission is to build an ecosystem of simple yet powerful products for our 1.5m+ merchants around the world which will help them grow their business. In addition to our core product, the teams within the Tribe also provide merchants with Point-of-Sale (POS), invoicing and eCommerce solutions.

Beyond this, we will expand SumUp’s ecosystem with additional products and services such as accounting, marketing, loyalty and business analytics, all available in one place. The products we develop strengthen SumUp’s value proposition and ability to serve small merchants around the world. As our Data Analyst for the Online Store, you’ll mentor and support the leadership, product managers and engineers on making data informed decisions and you’ll foster organizational learning in regards to data literacy. This is a unique opportunity to shape and build SumUp’s products touching millions of small merchants worldwide.

What you’ll do

  • Work closely with the product manager and engineers to help them making data informed decisions

  • Challenge and improve the overall KPIs and metrics that help us to track the progress of your team

  • Identify potential improvements in our solutions, conduct experiments to learn what works and deliver small increments of value to our merchants

  • Provide insights in a consumer-friendly way and establish a data culture in your team that is about self-service analytics, measuring what matters and acting upon facts

  • Set the standard for how to report and data and performance regularly to educate and inform stakeholders to drive product and growth strategy 

You’ll be great for this position if

  • You have strong SQL skills and experience in data visualization. Tableau experience is a plus.

  • You have an analytical mindset.

  • You have strong stakeholder management skills

  • You can structure your work on your own and come up with your own hypotheses.

  • You have 5+ years of work experience in Business Operations, Strategy, BI or Product. 

  • You’re curious, adaptable, detail-oriented and like to think holistically.

  • You have experience with A/B testing.
