Senior Product Analyst - Merchant Acquisition Tribe

In this role, you’ll be part of the Acquisition Journey Squad which sits within the Merchant Acquisition Tribe. This tribe as a whole is responsible for building resilient and scalable acquisition platforms where our merchants and partners can easily find the right SumUp products for their business.

The squad itself is a cross-functional and co-located product team, building applications and services that help millions of small businesses thrive. The team is autonomous and we empower every member to have a significant impact on feature design, prioritisation and delivery. As a highly-motivated and curious Data Analyst, you’ll be able to help shape the future of the team as well as the future of SumUp’s Engineering and Product organisation. 

You’ll work closely with product management, design and engineering to bring our ecommerce experience to the next level. 

What you’ll do

  • Lead data-driven discussions within your team and across business areas 

  • Ensure we have high-quality data to produce insights and contribute to reaching and exceeding business objectives

  • Drive insightful decisions and controls by delivering effective and polished reports, dashboards and visualisations. 

  • Manage rigorous experimentation and deliver deep insights, helping the team to iterate quickly and focus on impact

  • Own and contribute to further grow our ‘self-BI’ capabilities, improving data literacy throughout the tribe by teaching and sharing industry best practices

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have a degree in economics, business, data science, computer science or engineering.

  • You have 5+ years of work experience in data analytics and in-depth knowledge running AB tests.

  • You’re experienced working with Google Analytics, BigQuery as well as data visualization tools such as Tableau, DataStudio etc.

  • You have strong SQL skills.

  • You preferably have knowledge of statistical analysis tools like R or Python.

  • You’re passionate about designing, tracking, and forecasting key product and business metrics.

  • You’re proactive and enthusiastic, enjoying having great autonomy in structuring your work.

  • You have excellent communication, coordination and self-organisation skills.
