Collections Agent

As a Collections Agent you will be part of the Lending Tribe, we focus on bringing Lending products and access to capital to our merchant base. As part of the Collections team your work will focus on ensuring that our merchants have all the information and tools necessary to ensure that they can repay SumUp on time and in a fair and mutually beneficial manner.

You’ll have a high level of access to colleagues of all levels in the Lending Tribe, improve our merchant experience and deliver high level, solutions driven collections advice to our merchants.

We have big plans to expand Lending products to our merchants and are looking for motivated and creative team members to tackle all the opportunities and challenges that this will bring.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver a high level of customer service to vulnerable and non-vulnerable merchants.

  • Support merchants in financial difficulties by identifying appropriate arrears and debt management solutions such as payment plans.

  • Handle outbound collection calls.

  • Communicate solutions with merchants both verbally via phone and in writing.

  • Collaborate with your team and other stakeholders to ensure we improve our products and provide the best level of service to our merchants.

  • Proactively identifying any policy and process improvements for our Lending merchant experience.

  • Feedback merchant ideas and improvements to the wider Lending Tribe.

You’ll be great for this position if

  • You have experience of outbound customer calls.

  • You are organised, vigilant and adept at time management.

  • You have strong analytical and investigation skills.

  • You are knowledgeable about compliance, risk and support procedures.

  • You have excellent communication skills in English and German. (Minimum C1 level and excellent business English & German)

  • You are patient, self-confident, resilient and a team player.
