Our team of 90+ designers and user researchers is split into three departments covering User Experience Research, Product- and Brand Design. All designers work embedded in product tribes, in market facing teams or as part of a Global Design team. We are building additional capabilities in areas including industrial design, motion design, data visualization, UX writing and design operations.
As Senior Designer with focus on extending and developing our mobile&web UI component library to bring quality and consistency to our multi-product experience. You will be joining one of our global, cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating and maintaining design systems, and helping product designers applying them across our functional tribes and different services to create a suite of elegant products that anyone can use.
The position requires working across different teams to create consensus and provide deliverables under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills are a must, as well as coolness under pressure, problem solving, attention to detail, and the ability to mediate and cope with rapid change. Above all, the role requires a dedicated individual who believes in high standards, is knowledgeable in different existing pattern libraries and mobile OS conventions, and is passionate about building accessibility into our core components.
Your Profile
You have 7+ years of experience as a UI Designer, with deep expertise in visual principles, systems design, knowledgeable about UX and able to translate that to UX patterns
You know the common design tools and services (we mainly use Figma)
Your design process follows a human-centered approach and you apply both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to validate your solutions
You are passionate about accessibility and have developed design systems with accessibility requirements in mind
You execute across different phases of design work: participate in research, define underlying frameworks for the design system, execute UI components and UX patterns with attention to detail, participate or conduct usability testing and support multi-disciplinary teams during implementation of the design system.
You collaborate with different teams on their needs, validating specific components and recommendations with studies and prototypes
You proactively engage with your design chapter and peers to get feedback and optimize the experience across different touch points and platforms
You have designed and implemented best-of-class design components and UX patterns and commit to upholding the highest standards and a shared vision
You possess extraordinary ability to advocate for UI consistency with designers, engineers, product managers, and executives through writing, visuals, and presentations
You identify new design trends, including in motion and other media, and adapt our system to these trends as appropriate
You have experience in working in an agile environment and the ability to adapt quickly to changing product priorities
BA or MA in Design or related fields, or complementary studies with deep work experience in product design and design systems
