Embedded Build and Release Engineer

As a part of our Hardware team, you’ll play a key role in developing our hardware products as well as mobile apps and connected services. In Hardware, our goal is to create beautifully designed products, and to make sure they are prepared for payment and security specifications. We’re passionate about our product and the vision of bringing new payment solutions to small merchants!

What you’ll do

  • Manage releases of state-of-the-art payment devices 

  • Collaborate with the development team, test engineers, product management and SysOps for the complete release process of payment terminal software

  • Innovate and optimise the release process for different devices to deliver solutions faster and with quality to our merchants

You'll be a great fit for this position if you have

  • University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a similar subject

  • 3+ years of experience in Software Build Systems and configuration management

  • Strong experience with embedded projects using modern build systems build system (yocto, buildroot, etc)

  • Experience in using CI/CD platforms (such as Jenkins) for build and integration using Groovy scripts

  • Experience in git

  • Experience in Linux and preferably embedded Linux

  • Experience in scripting with one of: bash, python, perl

  • Experience with CMake, Make, Autotools

  • Strong English communication skills

  • Passion for building complex embedded devices

Any of the following would be considered a plus

  • Experience in maintaining build infrastructure and keep them up to date

  • Experience in development using one of the following languages: C, C++, Java

  • Experience of agile software development cycles using Jira
