As a Product Manager for our DevOps Platform Team, you will help us to shape and own the DevOps Platform vision. You will work with the DevOps Team to create, manage, prioritize and adapt the user story map, product backlog and product roadmap, enabling safe self-service for our development teams. By collaborating with our Product & Engineering Teams you learn to see the world through their eyes in order to identify and anticipate their pain points and needs.
We're looking for someone who's excited about collaborating with other engineers, who enjoys taking ownership of their work, who wants to help us to structure the implementation of new infrastructure solutions, who aids us to stay focused and value driven when introducing new technology ideas, and who is eager to learn and self-improve.
In this role you will:
Engage with internal stakeholders and engineers on a daily basis
Work closely with the development teams to improve rollout and deployment of new product features and installations to facilitate our fast paced and rapid growth
Create, manage, prioritize and adapt the user story map, product backlog and product roadmap
Balance new feature development, technical debt payoff, and routine maintenance work with focus on time to market and functional design
Ensure that we follow the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) paradigm
Contribute to our product community at SumUp, sharing knowledge, discussing best practices and continuously improving our overall product practices and skills
What you'll bring along:
You understand that operational excellence requires empowered teams
You have been a fantastic Product Manager for 5 years, with consistent delivery of great products under complex situations
You believe in the enablement of autonomous teams by shared processes and modular shared infrastructure as code
You share the knowledge and empower people: your peers and/or team members see you as a mentor and coach
You ensure that performance, security and resilience are understood as crucial for success as functional requirements
Excellent spoken and written English skills, as we are a global organization with English as our shared office language.
Experience with Atlassian tools or similar
It's paramount that you have experience with:
Background in information security and systems engineering
Teams managing large scale cloud deployments
