We are growing our finance team and we are on a mission to improve SumUp’s regulatory reporting strength. We are looking for a Global Head of Regulatory Report to design and implement a proactive financial regulatory function, in order to lead communication with different authorities and create a global strategy to help bring SumUp to the next level.
What you’ll do
Establish and assure a proper team for the Regulatory Reporting function
Review, streamline, and oversee the automation of manual regulatory reporting processes and reports
Answer for a timely and accurate submission of all financial regulatory reports globally with a special focus on filings for European regulators
Review all regulatory reporting, including capital returns and financial statements prior to submission to regulators and other governmental institutions;
Assess, develop and maintain proper controls associated with regulatory reporting function globally
Communicate issues with appropriate data owners and local accounting teams. Monitor and track issues to ensure timely and appropriate resolutions are achieved;
Stay up to date on new and evolving regulatory reporting requirements, assessing the impacts, and ensuring compliance for accurate reporting;
You’ll be great for this role if
12+ years of experience in finance and accounting ideally in the financial services industry (banks, fintechs, etc);
At least 5 years of experience in senior financial roles with exposure to regulators and senior management;
You can make sense out of regulation and develop processes and frameworks to compile new reports and enhance existing ones;
You have strong business acumen, analytical and numerical skills and an ability to engage stakeholders;
You are ready to build connections with various global teams for a single goal/result;
You have experience working with data and delivering financial reports;
You have excellent Excel modelling skills;
You are a true Leader: previous experience in team management is mandatory;
You are fluent in English - you'll be part of a truly global organization!
