Manufacturing Test Engineer

About the role

As a Manufacturing Test Engineer you will join the Supply Chain team which is part of the broader Hardware team. You will help improve the process and testing on the production line of SumUp’s proprietary products. 

You will be collaborating directly with the factories and SumUp’s R&D team. Your objective will be understanding the issues that are on the production line and working with different stakeholders to improve them.

What you will do: 

  • Review current implementations of automated tests on the production line

  • Investigate and identify test station issues

  • Review production line data and identify the issues and work with the correct team to solve it.

  • Help in new product introduction testing procedures definition

  • Evaluate processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement on the tests.

  • Propose improvements on automation jigs from the testing side.

 You'll be great for this position if:

  • You have 3+years of experience in electronics hardware manufacturing (Analog and digital Electronics, embedded systems)

  • You are able to read electronic and electrical circuits.

  • Control and automation knowledge

  • You are a problem solver - you enjoy identifying issues and areas for improvement and define a clear plan on how to solve them.

Nice to haves:

  • You have experience with Lean Manufacturing tools 

  • You have experience in new product introduction (NPI)

  • You have knowledge on python and C

  • You can read Logs from linux

  • You’ve experience with Atlassian products
