QA Engineer - Hardware

In the Hardware tribe, our goal is to create beautifully designed products and to make sure they are prepared for payment and security specifications. We’re passionate about our product and the vision of bringing new payment solutions to small merchants! Your main role will be helping us to keep evolving our products in terms of quality and improving the QA practice across the tribe, globally.

What you’ll do

  • Refine and help the team define acceptance criteria for product features, to ensure clarity and testability

  • Create, maintain and review end-to-end test cases for mobile applications, backend services and hardware

  • Help the development team to design and run test scripts

  • Execute test cases and analyse test results

  • Handle incoming bug reports during the entire product lifecycle, investigating and tracking reported issues

  • Contribute to validation activities and usability testing

  • Assist the team with the general product vision

  • Encourage the teams to adopt and maintain new quality patterns and tools

You’ll be great for this position if

  • You have solid experience along with a genuine passion for testing.

  • You have strong analytical problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • You have a good understanding of product development, underlying system architecture and user requirements.

  • You are familiar with the planning, designing and executing of tests in an agile environment.

  • You are self-motivated and proactive, with great English communication skills, both spoken and written.

Any of the following would be considered a plus

  • You have experience in end-to-end testing of IoT devices.

  • You have experience in scripting (i.e. Espresso, Python, Perl, Bash).

  • You have experience in using CI tools (e.g. Jenkins).

  • You have experience with the payment industry, especially with POS systems.
