Sr. Project Manager (in-house creative agency)

SumUp’s internal creative agency is looking for a Senior Project Manager. As part of the Marketing team, you'll play a key role in delivering campaigns and other projects within the newly founded agency and will be reporting directly to the Agency Lead.  By launching an in-house agency, we will supercharge our overall creative output with the expertise of agency-level talent combined with the speed and expertise of our existing brand and production teams. You’ll be the central point of contact to all internal stakeholders (marketing and company-wide), ensuring smooth operations within the agency.

Our Marketing team is a cross-functional group working in the fields of Acquisition, Brand, CRM, Content, PR and Social Media. Together, we devise innovative strategies to grow SumUp’s brand, attract new customers and keep existing merchants excited about our products. What you’ll do

  • Be the first point of contact to internal SumUp stakeholders/agency clients, working with them as well as other relevant agency team members to define the briefs and ensuring all relevant information is provided

  • Prioritising projects in collaboration with the Strategy Lead and the brand team

  • Working with the Production Lead and Creative Director to assess team capacity, plan workload and allocate projects 

  • Briefing internal teams and freelancers, providing direction on required deliverables

  • Overseeing projects from briefing until delivery, keeping internal teams and stakeholders in the loop, confidently managing expectations

  • Actively managing in-house production of marketing campaigns: owning production timeline and tracking project progress, facilitating work of production teams, removing roadblocks, liaising with the stakeholders to obtain anything needed by the production teams to be able to deliver, scheduling and holding regular status meetings

  • Facilitating collaboration within different marketing teams 

  • Sourcing and supporting in the hiring of freelancers and third party collaborators 

  • Liaising with and coordinating third parties (e.g. external agencies), obtaining relevant specs and assets 

  • Working with relevant teams to refine and optimise existing workflows (also through tool implementation), create new ones where need be

  • Tracking and measuring team capacity and recommending outsourcing where necessary

  • Art buying

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have 5+ years experience in a similar agency role with solid knowledge of creative production processes and documentation

  • You are highly organised, with great attention to detail and the ability to multitask and coordinate several projects at a time

  • You have basic knowledge of video production processes, from brief through delivery 

  • You’re energetic, enthusiastic and you thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • You’re an excellent communicator, with the ability to provide direction, motivate others and solve conflict 

  • A real people person and team player, you remain calm under pressure and are able to prioritise and adapt to change

  • A problem-solver, looking to streamline existing and propose new workflows

  • You’re fluent in English, both spoken and written – knowledge of additional European languages is a plus.
