As a Senior Android Engineer, you’ll join the Merchant Success Tribe, whose mission is to deliver unmatched product education and issue resolution for our existing and prospective merchants. You’ll focus on building products that allow near-instantaneous query resolution, as well as scalability and efficiency of operations teams.
What you’ll do
You’ll shape the core experience of merchants and consumers who are using Android Apps on a daily basis.
In the first few weeks, you'll dive into the code and learn how to create clean, composable components in our codebase, how we write tests for them, and how we keep performance tip-top. You'll use this knowledge to start developing and refining features.
In the first three months, you'll develop major features that impact our merchant base. You'll work closely with the product and design team to build features that are maintainable, usable, and beautiful. You'll help us re-think problems we've solved before in a different way as requirements evolve.
By the end of your first year, you'll have a wealth of knowledge about our complex problem domain, as well as its implications in the interface and in the backend – and how to manage it in a clean way. You'll have launched numerous features in our Android Apps as well as in the Android SDK.
Mentor other engineers in engineering principles, design, and implementation.
You’ll be great for this role if
You're comfortable with Java/Kotlin and the Android ecosystem.
You can write clear and concise code that your teammates can understand and build upon.
You know what to test, why to test it, and how to write flexible tests that won't break.
You care about user interaction, usability, and of course, making the interface beautiful.
You know what MVP and MVVM are.
You have solid debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills.
You are open-minded and ready to explore 3rd party SDKs, solutions, benchmarking, integrate, and test (we want only the best for our customers).
You’re fluent in English, both spoken and written.
