What you’ll do
This role will have a great impact, with the right operations strategy based on SumUp’s hyper-growth plans considering the multiple product business dynamics in Europe, on the future of SumUp.
You are in charge of creating and implementing a solid strategy to improve our effectiveness. The empathetic force behind the continuous improvement of our services is of course you. You recognise how to smooth out our operations process.
You will be serving as a focal point for the Operations team of 400+ in Customer Support, Risk & AntiFraud and Payment Operations areas and with that level up the internal communication. You will be defining directional action plans to address any KPI deficits. You will address the most important challenges and find solutions for our operative departments to become best-in-class.
You’ll be great for this role
You have a deep understanding of Commerce, Payments, and Financial Services as well as Customer Experience and People Management
You successfully have upscaled before and demonstrated leadership
Great business acumen and a proven track record of process optimisation
Comfortable managing ambiguity in our matrix structure, leading change, aligning stakeholders, and helping the team do the same delivering world-class results
You own a very high level of communication skills that span all levels of management, almost like a translator in order for operations to run smoothly day to day
You’re a leader who balances pragmatism with visionary leadership
You have influential coaching communication skills and can present a vision in an articulate way that inspires other leaders
