In the context of SumUp’s exponential growth in both business and people and the goal of being a healthy organization that fosters diversity, autonomy and innovation from within, we are looking for a Head of Diversity and Inclusion who will support us in improving SumUp’s strategy and initiatives in diversity and inclusion. As a part of the global leadership team, you will own and drive the vision for diversity and inclusion and build a centralized approach for the development as well as implementation of these initiatives.

What you’ll do

  • Take full inventory of SumUp’s current state and all ongoing activities around diversity and inclusion both quantitatively and qualitatively and help formulate a comprehensive vision

  • Work closely/partner with leaders and relevant stakeholders in order to understand global, regional and local needs 

  • Design, execute and own the global strategy for diversity and inclusion initiatives that fits into the overall vision of SumUp

  • Develop and deliver data analysis for measuring the effectiveness of our programs

  • Present findings, reports and insights to the company on a regular basis

  • Set a strong communication standard for all internal and external diversity and inclusion initiatives and communicate company-wide our diversity and inclusion vision

  • As part of the global leadership team, participate in regular meetings and be the driving force in this team with regards to diversity and inclusion topics

  • Review all people processes in order to remove bias and be part of the team that helps to improve all go these processes for the future benefit of SumUp

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition, People Teams and Leaders to build effective hiring processes to develop a diverse and inclusive talent pipeline

You’ll be great for this position if

  • You have experience and excellent understanding of the intricacies of diversity and inclusion both broadly and deeply.

  • You have excellent communication skills in English. 

  • You have worked in a globally distributed context.

  • You have a data-centric and analytical approach. 

  • You have project and program management experience.

  • You’re a natural collaborator and bridge-builder who understands and is able to translate between different perspectives to get to the heart of any matter.

  • You’re a strategic thinker with sound judgement.
