Our team is responsible for building the infrastructure needed to provide our SumUp merchants with a bank account that allows them to be successful at doing what they love.
As a Product Manager in our Merchant Bank Tribe, you will build APIs and products that will enable our core banking stack to scale across multiple markets fast. You’ll work closely with Legal, Compliance and Banking Operation teams as well as our payment and card product teams that sit at the core of SumUp’s Merchant Bank. You’ll be paired with engineering teams in Germany and Bulgaria, as well as collaborate with other support functions in the UK, Ireland and Lithuania.
Our ideal Product Manager has led technical products or large-scale platforms, has an extreme attention to detail, concisely communicates complex concepts, and is passionate about reliability and financial correctness as well as beautiful product UX and API design.
At SumUp, Product Managers help build financial products for our customers. You’d be joining a growing team of experienced Product Managers who successfully built business and consumer facing financial products and are transforming the way people manage their money.
What you’ll do
Help to design and drive the product roadmap for SumUp’s core banking infrastructure, mainly accounting and reconciliation tools.
Build solutions to make our bank resilient, compliant and built for purpose.
Collaborate with other product managers and business units to scale with SumUp’s fast growing user base.
Support engineers to understand the main problems that are emerging for accounting and reconciliation services.
Build strong relationships with Bank, Legal and Compliance to align on priority and risk tolerance.
Regularly share insights and results across the tribe and to the broader SumUp organization.
You’ll be great for this role if you have
+5 years product management experience in fast growing teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Built APIs, products, and complex systems at scale.
Worked on large scale platform or infrastructure projects.
Worked on technical B2B products, ideally in the banking and financial services industry.
Proficiency in working with external strategic partners.
Experience with risk management and regulatory technology.
