Who we are
We believe in the everyday hero. Those who have the courage to follow their passion and who have the strength and determination to realise their dreams. Small business owners are at the heart of all we do, so we're creating powerful, easy-to-use financial solutions to help them run their businesses. With a founder’s mentality and a 'team-first’ attitude, our diverse teams across Europe, South America and the United States work together to ensure that small business owners can be successful doing what they love.
You’ll join Data & Insights as a Senior Product Manager with high impact potential throughout our Engineering & Product organisation of ~60 teams. Your mission is to capture all of the data in the company by rolling out a centrally managed, cloud-hosted message bus. The main challenge is to convince teams to adopt an event driven architecture, especially when they already have self-hosted solutions in place or aren’t aware of the possibilities of adopting queues.
The team currently consists of four data engineers with a high degree of technical maturity. They love to learn and are looking for someone who can bring their stakeholder management expertise so they can focus on getting code to production.
There are three other product managers in the Data & Insights group of teams and you'll report to the Group Product Manager.
What you’ll do
Drive company-wide adoption of event driven architecture and drive our Message Bus Guild
Set the strategy and manage the backlog of a team of four data engineers
Identify opportunities for using queues in teams that don’t have an event-driven approach on their radar yet
Leverage the relationship with our main supplier: Confluent Kafka
You'll be great for this position if
You have previous product management experience (3+ years) with a focus on product evangelism and infrastructure change management.
You have excellent stakeholder management skills – your stakeholders are technical and spread throughout the company.
You have experience providing a message bus, queues or data pipelines as a service and experience with microservice architecture.
