We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our new Global Expansion and Acquiring Tribe, whose goal is to launch and scale new markets on a global scale (LATAM, APAC, EMEA etc). Our team is in charge of defining strategy and delivering products and services for those targeted markets.
We leverage all products features built within SumUp and adjust and localise them for new markets using our acquiring and banking partners – from a merchant’s first user experience in our app, to making their first sale, to getting their first payout. The engineering expansion squad in the Tribe focuses on making that experience seamless, intuitive, and hassle-free.
SumUp currently offers our products and services in over 30 countries around the world. Country expansion is one of our success factors and a pillar in our growth strategy. You’ll be responsible for driving the expansion value stream at SumUp, assisting as we set foot into new countries, with a vision to achieve global coverage.
What you’ll do
Work as part of a cross-functional team to create the necessary tools and technical framework to allow SumUp to launch in new markets quickly and efficiently
Take charge of coordinating country launch system setup activities on a tribe and cross-tribe level
Build an expansion platform that allows us to tackle internationalisation, customisation, and country-specific regulatory challenges
Design and build acquiring and settlement platforms that satisfy various business requirements and user needs; drive the testing, implementation, and post-production support
Gather requirements and scope projects, facilitate discussions and drive resolution of issues
Help form a technical expansion team to develop the platform
You’ll be great for this position if
You have 5+ years in Product Management in an Agile organisation
You’re fluent in English, both spoken and written – any other languages are a plus.
You have experience with country expansion or localisation projects.
You have a solid track record in incremental software development with a focus on value.
You have experience in working closely with software development teams in a product owner/project manager capacity.
You have experience with integrations.
