SumUp’s Online Payments tribe enables merchants to offer state-of-the-art payment solutions for their online businesses. This tribe plays a key role in working towards SumUp’s vision of operating a 360° full circle payments solution provider.
In this role as Senior Product Manager you’ll be a strategic leader for one of our squads, partnering with a Senior Engineering Manager and reporting to the VP of Product.
What you’ll do
Take ownership of the full PDLC for our Machine Learning Platform for fraud prevention and risk management from scratch
Hold your team members accountable and create a strong two-way feedback loop
Grow SumUp’s Online Payments product development globally
Deliver innovative products for SumUp’s partner portfolio; from banks and associations to leading software providers and global enterprises
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to hire and onboard software developers and quality engineers by taking care of headcount planning, defining needed skills, interviewing, preparing onboarding plans for new hires, and following up on learning and integration
Work hands-on with the team to manage the end-to-end process: build pipelines and data models, synthesise results, build dashboards and reports
Measure the impact of both existing and new product features and growth experiments on our key metrics
You’ll be great for this position if
You have at least 7+ years of relevant experience as product manager. You need to have a strong understanding about product methodology throughout the full PDLC.
You bring a fundamental understanding of online payments and have a proven track record working at a PSP - Payment Service Provider.
You are an expert in risk- and fraud management in digital payments.
You have a proven track record in launching products from scratch to execution.
You’re confident acting as the single point-of-contact for ‘owned’ areas - working with cross-functional partners across the company to achieve all aspects of the product management cycle.
You have defined product vision and strategy for your domain, and are confident communicating the rationale behind product decisions to engineering teams and stakeholders.
You have outstanding communication skills, and will thrive in a consensus-driven culture where a diversity of perspectives is cherished (English is a must-have, any other languages would be a plus).
You have an intuitive understanding of the importance of data in understanding trends, providing actionable insights, and tracking the success of those initiatives.
