Senior Product Manager - PoS Lite

SumUp Point of Sales (POS) is creating the SumUp of the future.  We are building a POS product that will support merchants as they grow with us.  We will create new features, improve existing ones, and in general build the functionality that will support our merchants with ever increasing needs.  It will take vision, rigorous prioritization, and come with plenty of great problems to solve as we incorporate ever increasing levels of sophistication into our product while maintaining the simple and easy to use experience that our customer have come to expect, and love about SumUp.

Team description

As a Senior Product Manager - POS you will play an essential role in SumUp's Point of Sale Squad, a constantly evolving group of product development teams focusing on helping our merchants to run their business. Our solutions range from simple and powerful tools up to a fully fledged POS platform. We serve merchants across many different geographies and industries, which provides us with a very interesting challenge: creating global yet local-friendly solutions for millions of small businesses.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers and marketers to develop the Point of Sale product for millions of SumUp merchants;

  • Build out the regime of behavioral metrics that define how our merchants interact with our product and various features, and develop experiments to improve those interactions;

  • Conduct user research in multiple markets and industries in order to understand current requirements and predict future needs;

  • Be responsible for outlining entire roadmaps for new products and features, defining requirements, goals, and potential constraints all while iterating on potential solutions;

  • Represent the Point of Sale squad at a senior level in order to align resource allocation and prioritisation of initiatives;

  • Identify engineering challenges and opportunities to leverage our platform, in collaboration with engineering leads from various product domains;

  • Define needs across multiple other areas of product, and help to create supporting APIs that serve numerous internal clients. 

You'll be great for this position if

  • You have worked in product management for at least 5 years and ideally have spent some time at a leading Point of Sale platform;

  • You have practical experience in product management of technical products like APIs;

  • You have strong analytical skills and are able to balance qualitative and quantitative insights to make the informed business decisions;

  • You have a solid background in working with cross-functional and remote teams;

  • You have experience in incremental software development with focus on fast product delivery;

  • You’re an inspiring, visionary, leader and great communicator

  • You are a great facilitator who can bring out all relevant points of view, compare and contrast differing ideas, and collaborate to find answers that borrow from the best of your team’s ideas
