In Hardware, we are passionate about creating these beautifully designed card payment devices and accessories that enable our merchants to start, run, and grow their own businesses. In doing so, we deal with a diverse range of engineering topics - industrial and electronic design, embedded systems, all the way to mobile apps and backend services.
What you’ll be doing in this position
As Embedded Test Software Engineer you will support the development team (in particular Embedded Software) with automation of software tests. You will be designing test infrastructures, running integration tests while constantly feeding the development team with feedback on how to improve the quality of the software they write. You closely follow and participate in the development of software that runs on and interfaces with our payment terminals. Also you will be designing and implementing automated tests that will allow hardware validation for high-volume electronic devices manufacturing. Over time, you will provide crucial support to release planning.
You'll be great for this position if you have:
University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or similar subject
5+ years of test engineering and/or software engineering experience, preferably in sectors that require high availability
Experience with designing and implementing automated test strategy and tools for complex software systems
Good understanding of Embedded Systems
Good Knowledge of Linux environment and most common programming languages (Python, Shell, Perl)
Good Knowledge of Continuous Integration systems, and experience with Jenkins
Solid understanding of Git
Experience with raspberry pi
Strong written and oral communication and team-player skills needed to constantly communicate with your fellow developers and agree on solutions to bring the best and most stable experience to our merchants
Nice to have, but not a must:
Understanding of build systems and code analysis tools
Knowledge of Android Debug Bridge (adb)
Knowledge of Android testing automation
