Business Development manager associate (retail)

SumUp is off-shelf available in over 3000 stores and webshops across the EU at ‘Bricks & Mortar’ retailers and e-tailers. In this role you will report to the Business Development Lead Retail and play a key role in supporting the Business Development Team to excel. We believe we are only at the beginning of our retail journey and we have identified huge potential at our doorsteps that we need you to unlock. Our retail presence plays a key role in making SumUp’s solution easily available to business owners on every street corner, through strategic retail partnerships across the continent. You will have a great impact in defining and executing processes in our Business Development Team, securing the growth will be based on solid structures. To achieve this goal you will work closely with all functions in the Retail team such as Trade Marketing, Operation and BI.

What you’ll be doing in this role:

  • You will be in charge of sales budget reports and coordinate with Business Development Managers the flows between the team and Operation.

  • You will boost the potential of the Business Development Managers coordinating side expects of retail expansions, such as Trade Marketing activities and special project developments.

  • You will be working closely with the Business Development Lead to understand team needs and processes set up. 

  • You will create Joint business plans, coordinate marketing initiatives and report on their impact together with our Business development manager(s)

  • You will coordinate partner logistics processes (distributors and direct retailers) in order to secure product fulfillment and transparent accountancy..

  • You may be called on key account management with regards to smaller markets, which may  bring you to a direct career development in the future within the Business Development Team .

You’ll be great for this position if

  • You have at least 2 years of experience within sales teams, preferably in FMCG .

  • You have a solid background in working with Microsoft Office and good analytical skills.

  • You are self-driven, proactive, persistent, pragmatic and have a can-do attitude.

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are result driven.

  • You enjoy working in highly dynamic environments, you like transforming different data sources into powerful insights.

  • You have good presentation and language skills (verbally and written) in English. Fluency in additional languages is considered a plus.
