NPI Engineer - Supply Chain, Hardware Tribe

About the role

As an NPI Engineer you will join the Supply Chain part of the broader Hardware team.

You will contribute to the successful transition of new products from design to mass production. Working closely with R&D, design, quality, and manufacturing teams, you will support and optimize the New Product Introduction process throughout its various phases. Your expertise will help ensure that new products meet quality, cost, and timeline targets while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate and track product iterations during the EVT/DVT phase, ensuring design improvements are implemented and validated

  • Support PVT activities, ensuring production processes are stable and capable of meeting product specifications in a small-volume run

  • Assist the transition to mass production, ensuring smooth ramp-up and optimized production processes

  • Collaborate with product design, engineering and EMS manufacturing teams to align objectives and resolve any issues related to product design, quality, or manufacturability

  • Maintain the industrial dossier (BOM, drawings, etc.) at each stage of the NPI process, ensuring all documents are accurate and up to date

  • Work closely with the design and development teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability (DFM), assembly (DFA), and cost efficiency

  • Identify potential risks in the NPI process and take proactive steps to mitigate them

You’ll be great for this position if:

  • You have 3+ years of experience in NPI engineering or related fields, with a proven track record of successfully coordinating production phases from prototype to mass production.

  • You have strong problem-solving skills  with a focus on finding solutions that balance quality, cost, and timeline.

  • You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels of the organization.

  • You are detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in automotive electronics or consumer electronics manufacturing environments.

  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
