Field Sales Trainer

Who you are:  

SumUp is seeking a dynamic and engaging Field Sales Trainer to join the SumUp team in either our Denver or Boulder office. You will join the Sumup Learning and Development team while supporting the growing US field sales team, The Field Sales Trainer will be running outside sales onboarding for new reps as well as traveling to various field sales locations to assist with ramping reps and facilitating upskilling trainings. The ideal candidate should have good teamwork and interpersonal skills, be a self- starter, and be able to navigate change with a positive attitude. This candidate should have experience both in presenting sales trainings and being in an outside sales rep role. 

This role is based out of one of the three Sumup offices with the expectation of being in office 5 days/week unless traveling. This role will require up to 80% travel to various locations.

What you’ll do:

  • Quickly learn Sumup products, processes, teams, and adult learning best practices

  • Run 2 week in-person onboarding program for new outside sales reps including coordinating new joiner access setup, facilitating live training sessions, grading self-paced work, working with sales managers to certify and provide feedback on reps, and roleplaying to practice with reps

  • Identify areas of opportunity to improve onboarding program and assist with upkeep of training materials

  • Facilitate technical and soft skill upskilling trainings for various teams based on performance needs

  • Assist with ramping reps by working with sales leadership to determine areas of opportunity for reps, conducting field ride-alongs, giving feedback, and coming up with effective training activities

  • Build strong relationships with both the sales teams and Learning and Development (L&D) team

  • Assist the L&D team as necessary with building and facilitating trainings, updating resources and documentation, and identifying training opportunities

What we're looking for:

  • 1-3 years experience delivering trainings AND 3-5 years experience in an inside sales role

  • Ability to travel up to 100%

  • Dynamic and engaging speaker

  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to learn & self starter

  • Adaptability in navigating new situations

  • Have a drive for continuous learning and self-improvement as well as the ability to navigate change with a positive attitude

  • Experience creating training materials and familiarity with adult learning theory is a plus

  • Tech savviness or experience in the tech industry is a plus

Compensation: 

  • $50,000-$65,000

  • Compensation will be finalized based on the candidate’s experience and location
