AML Transaction Monitoring Officer
We’re looking for an Anti-Money Laundering Transaction Monitoring Officer to support the Global Financial Crime Team in solving the intricacies of risk mitigation, and play a key role in SumUp’s vision of operating as a full cycle payment solution provider. You'll collaborate with experts in compliance, data science, engineering, product, and operations to deliver critical internal and external control features supporting the SumUp ecosystem.
What you’ll do
Optimise existing transaction monitoring solutions and implement updates.
Design and oversee testing and implementation for transaction monitoring logic.
Assist the team with investigation, working with Data Science to run complex statistical analysis, evaluate behavioural data and derive actionable insights.
Oversee transaction monitoring related due diligence processes and ensure procedures are updated as required by regulatory changes.
Respond and resolve issues identified by the Assurance, Compliance, Support, Risk, and Onboarding teams within SumUp.
You’ll be great for this position if
You’re based in London or Dublin.
You have 3+ years experience in AML transaction monitoring, either in system management, optimisation and logic fine tuning or in implementing processes and procedures for systems optimisation.
You have a strong knowledge of AML, transaction monitoring and KYC regulatory requirements.
You have 2+ years experience in managing teams, training and coaching people within Financial Crime or AML units.
You have great analytical and reporting skills and are confident analysing large data sets.
You have strong written and verbal English communication skills.
