AML Analyst II

As part of our Compliance & AML team, you’ll play a role in ensuring Compliance with AML laws and regulations by supporting the team on constantly reviewing and improving the AML processes and procedures, supporting, advising and providing innovative solutions and recommendations on business initiatives. We’re a diverse group working in the fields of AML, Compliance and Regulatory with active participation on business strategies and decisions. Our team consists of 60+ people from many different countries. If you’re excited about empowering small business owners around the world, we’d love to hear from you.We’re looking for an AML Analyst II to help us revamp our AML processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

What you’ll do

  • AML case review (will be responsible for handling, analyzing AML Cases) both first and second level of reviews

  • Ensure productivity and quality of AML cases

  • Guarantee communication with partner stakeholders

  • Prepare documents and evidences for AML Risk Assessments, audits and reviews

  • Support the AML senior team, peers and jr analysts on providing AML relevant information for training contents and presentations to the Compliance & AML Committee and other relevant meetings.

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have 3-5+ years of experience in AML operational activities and relevant knowledge on AML related rules and regulations applicable financial/ payments institutions and/or fintech companies

  • Has a great understanding of AML regulatory requirements, COAF, scenarios and how they affect the case review

  • Strong ability to provide a clear and objective narrative of the cases reviewed

  • Able to identify which laws, legislation and regulations are applicable to SumUp and can make recommendations for scenarios where AML regulations directly affect the teams responsibilities

  • Communicates regulatory requirements clearly to colleagues

  • Able to explain clearly new regulatory requirements and how they apply in the SumUp environment

  • Can establish procedures for daily tasks using their regulatory and best practice knowledge (and relevant research) with little guidance

  • Advanced English

  • Responsible and accountable for either: whole non-critical activities and significant part of important activities
