Operations Manager (Small Merchants)
As a Small Merchants Operations Manager, you will play a strategic role in creating our Small Merchants business. You’ll be part of the team that provides outstanding payments solutions to Brazilian businesses in order to support their growth. You’ll have a leading part in planning, establishing, and implementing new projects, processes, and paths to assure we are providing an outstanding customer experience to small businesses across Brazil. Also, be responsible for proposing indicators, monitoring, and reporting our customer support quality and merchants’ satisfaction, which allows us to keep investing and growth 3x in a scalable manner.The Small Merchants team is characterized by a diverse environment with strong business sense, entrepreneurial vision, being focused on creating and bringing ideas to life, and having daily interaction with various teams, such as Marketing, Supply, Operations, Finance, and Product.
What you’ll do
Create and implement initiatives to ensure the best customer experience to our small merchants, ensuring that the WOW Experience we offer to our merchants keeps getting WOW-er :)
Create new processes and improve current ones ensuring they are executed efficiently
Support the acquisition team to grow further enabling challenging initiatives from the operations perspective
Understand your team's results and based on data-driven analysis recommend next steps and strategic initiatives
Raise meaningful insights, questioning our processes and performance, design scalable solutions and develop projects aiming to impact the lives of thousands of small merchants
We expect an ownership behavior and an unquiet mind, always questioning the "status quo" and hands-on attitude, to make us go to the next levelManage a team and keep an eye on the market and be our best practices radar, helping us learn from innovative initiatives out there
You'll be great fit for this position if:
You have a track record as a project leader: you are structured in your plans, you deliver results and you measure them
You act with great autonomy and independence, but at the same time you know when and how to engage the necessary people to solve a complex problem
You are a problem-solver: easily identify issues, but most importantly you sick for solutions
You know how to manage setbacks and set expectations with everyone, but you are also very transparent and offers candid feedback to your project team and any stakeholders
You have strong analytical skills and you get excited providing insights based on data
You are an Excel heavy user and have programming knowledge
You truly (madly, deeply) care about the people around you. You are already ultra excited about the idea of making our merchants' lives better - at the same time, you are not willing to sacrifice the experience of the SumUpers for the sake of productivity
You have track record as leader and get excited about leading a high performing team
You speak fluent English and Portuguese
