What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced Backend Engineer with a passion for designing, implementing and optimising backend services in Elixir. This role will collaborate heavily with other software developers, QA and DevOps engineers to ensure seamless deployment, integration and support for our software. You’ll contribute to API design and implementation both internally and externally. You’ll actively participate in code reviews and provide comprehensive documentation to improve our overall code quality. If you’re passionate about clear, testable code and excited to make a difference using Elixir, SumUp is for you.
Skills and experience
Proven experience as a backend engineer
Relevant experience with Elixir and OTP or a willingness to learn
Understanding of software architecture and app design
Knowledge of distributed and fault tolerant systems
Proactivity and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
