Аccounts Payable Accountant
As part of the Controlling team, you’ll play a key role in the financial reporting and accounting world of SumUp. Our team is based mainly in Sofia and consists of more than 30 people with a diverse and broad accounting and financial expertise. We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to help with day-to-day accounting activities.
What you’ll do
Assemble, review and verify vendor invoices
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues as needed
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system
Set invoices up for payment and regular payment proposal preparation
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and processed accurately in a timely manner
Produce reports and prepare regular analysis of accounts payable (e.g. vendor and advanced aging reports)
Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
Assist with month end closing
Provide supporting documentation for audits
Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
You’ll be great for this role if
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
You have minimum 1-2 years accounts payable or general accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment and proven knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounting principles.
You will have previous experience with SAP and strong knowledge in Excel will be considered an advantage.
You have excellent spoken and written English skills. A second language is a plus (French, Italian, Spanish, etc.)
You have high attention to detail and accuracy.
You have strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and cross group collaboration skills.
You are a strong team player able to interact with colleagues at all levels.
You are target driven with the ability to remain focused on goals and maintain effective work despite challenges.
You are able to meet deadlines and work under pressure in a high-paced multinational organization.
