Cash Reconciliation Accountant

What you’ll do in this position

  • Collect, store and sort all bank statements on a daily basis

  • Posting and reconciliation of transaction-related bank statements on a daily basis using automated solution

  • Clear open items in transit bank accounts, receivables from acquirer and payables to merchants on a weekly basis;

  • Daily monitoring of banking activities in order to identify irregularities

  • Responsible for month end bank balance reporting for both operational and transaction accounts

  • Responsible for reconciliation of money in transit account at month end

  • Reconcile receivables from acquirer position on a weekly basis

  • Reconcile payables to merchants position on a monthly basis

  • Collaborate with ERP team and Payment Operations team regarding transaction processing, reconciliations and implementation of new processes, as needed

  • Communication with banking and acquiring team regarding implementation of new processes and/or improvements, as needed

  • Main point of contact for bank reconciliation with Payment Operations team

  • Preparation of transactions summary on a monthly basis

  • Reconciliation of subsequent cash receipts for audit and reporting purposes

  • Provide supporting documents for audit of transactions

You’ll be great for this position if you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience

  • Experience in regulated payment institution would be considered as advantage

  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping, bank accounting and accounting principles

  • Strong experience with SAP and Excel (VLOOKUPs, PIVOT, IF, etc.)

  • SQL - basic knowledge would be considered as advantage

  • Ability to work with big volumes of data

  • Very good spoken and written English

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Target driven with ability to remain focused on goals and maintaining effective work despite challenges

  • Strong team player able to interact with colleagues at all levels

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure in a high-paced multinational organization
