What you’ll do
You'll assist the Finance Reporting Manager with the oversight for timely and accurate submissions of monthly management accounts
You'll oversee month end closing calendar, participate in team retrospective sessions and contribute to improvement initiatives
You'll review and coordinate month-end trial balances variance analysis for the material movements in the reporting month/quarter compared to prior periods
You'll assist the Finance Reporting Manager with the timely and accurate submissions of annual IFRS financial statements per legal entity
You'll assist the Finance Reporting Manager with Annual audit compliance with IFRS requirements, identifying and approving IFRS adjusting entries
You'll review Significant Contracts and Assess accounting implications
You'll conduct first level reviews of key deliverables per Tribe/Businesses
You'll assist the annual external SumUp Group audit
You'll support the annual and periodic closing activities monitoring and execution
You'll play significant role in Process & Reporting improvement initiatives and identification of IFRS gaps
You'll support ad hoc projects like assisting with SAP implementation/upgrade, global chart of accounts implementation, Tax Audits, etc.
Control preparer/reviewer (Financial Reporting and General Ledger Controls)
You’ll be great for this position if
You have a Bachelor’s degree (BA) or Master in Accounting
You are ACCA qualified or hold an equivalent qualification
You have 3+ years of experience in the finance function of a multinational company with a clear track record of working with limited supervision and increasing financial responsibility in a similar position
You have robust knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting
You are a team player with the ability to build strong relationships, working cross-functionally with teams across the company and engaging with and positively influencing key business partners
You have great attention to details and are able to assess their impact
You are fluent in both verbal and written English
You have experience with SAP and expertise with MS Office
