As part of the Accounts Receivable team, you’ll play a key role in the financial reporting and accounting world of SumUp.If you’re excited about supporting a fast growing and diverse business, we’d love to hear from you.The team is fast-paced yet cross-functional. We’re looking to bring experienced Senior AR Accountant on board to join us and help in ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
What you’ll do?
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data
Identifying and improving Accounts Receivable processes by carrying out GAP analysis
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Compile and sort documents prepare and post invoices and credit and debit memos
Communicate issues and resolutions to management and affected areas/departments
Coordinate solutions to problems of moderate complexity with other departments and business units
Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
External/Internal Audit assistance and support
Ability to work independently, prioritize and meet deadlines
Support daily organization of the accounting work within the team
You’ll be great for this role if:
You understand accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
You have experience researching solutions for simple to moderate complex accounting issues
You have proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
You have preferable hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (SAP)
You have at least 5 years of related experience in financial analysis, preparing financial reports, statements, and projections
You have Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
You are proficient in English and in MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
You have high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
