We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel to join our EU Legal Team.
What you’ll do:
Provide legal guidance and support to the business in the areas of employment law and commercial contracts and respond to the day-to-day requests of the business and customers in EU;
Be a trusted member of the Global Legal team and start establishing professional relations with our internal stakeholders - SumUp tribes and teams;
Draft, review and negotiate with respect to different types of business contracts related to company’s operations, including contracts with hardware and logistics providers, marketing agreements and all type of vendors’ contracts;
Provide legal support with respect to employment and corporate law matters across Europe, draft internal labour documentation, policies and procedures;
Remain up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices so as to provide the best possible legal advice and strategic input on different projects;
Collaborate with legal, finance, tax, compliance, and privacy colleagues around the world, work closely with business teams;
Manage contract flow under the company's tools and systems.
You’ll be great for this role if:
You are a fully qualified lawyer in Bulgaria, with at least 5+ years of practical experience in a global environment or a renowned law firm;
You come with a seniority level close to this of the role (senior lawyer or comparable);
You are fluent in spoken and written English;
You are able to translate legal advice into practical actionable guidance for business teams;
You have strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and cross group collaboration skills;
You have a team player mindset and can interact with colleagues at all levels;
You possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy;
You have an outstanding level of work ethic and integrity;
You feel comfortable and can work independently, manage and supervise low to moderate complexity projects, and contribute successfully to cross-functional, international teams.
