The Payments Tribe is behind SumUp’s payments platform, powering the payments for millions of merchants across the world.
As a Product Designer in this core SumUp team, you’d have an impact on our customers and SumUppers alike, solving design and usability challenges of different scale and complexity. You’d be collaborating closely with the tribe’s cross-functional squads while brainstorming with design professionals from other SumUp teams.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating simple, elegant solutions to complex real-world problems. Working closely with product and tech leaders, you will help shape our products and ensure that the user remains at the center of every decision.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional squads, applying your design expertise to deliver impactful solutions while driving the evolution of our design processes and guidelines. Your role will also include facilitating strategic discussions about product experiences and contributing to a shared understanding of our users’ needs as a foundation for decision-making.
YOU'LL BE GREAT FOR THIS ROLE IF
Have 3+ years of experience in UX and/or UI design, with expertise in one area and strong skills in the other.
Are proficient in common design tools and services (we primarily use Figma).
Follow a human-centered design approach and are comfortable using qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform your work.
Can execute across all phases of design: conducting research, defining conceptual foundations, designing intuitive UX flows, applying visual design systems, prototyping, and creating production-ready designs.
Are experienced in usability testing and enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout implementation.
Have worked on and shipped web and mobile applications across the full product development cycle.
Bring a collaborative mindset, working with product managers and engineers to arrive at optimal solutions, and aligning across teams to create cohesive user experiences.
Actively engage with peers to gather feedback and improve end-to-end customer journeys.
Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, helping convey the value of design across the company.
Have experience working in agile environments and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.
