Sign up in minutes

SumUp sign-up takes a few minutes, and it’s a simple process that can be completed in a few simple steps:

  • Visit the SumUp homepage and click ‘Get Started Now.’

  • Choose your card reader from the options provided, or proceed without ordering one.

  • Sign up by providing your email, password, and country of operation.

  • Complete your profile by providing your business details as prompted.

As soon as you finish the SumUp account setup, SumUp will ship your card reader to your address for free.

Solo is the most modern card reader from SumUp, and it has an intuitive touchscreen that ensures you always have the best experience. Thanks to continuous updates, you'll always have the latest functionality, making it a reliable choice for modern businesses. Here's how to set up your SumUp Solo:

  • Press the power button.

  • Select your language from the drop-down menu.

  • Log into your SumUp profile.

  • Connect Solo to Wi-Fi (it can also be used with cellular data, as it comes with a SIM card).

  • Update Solo by tapping ‘Download & Install’.

  • Start accepting payments.

SumUp Air: the budget-friendly option

SumUp Air is a budget-friendly card reader, perfect for small businesses. Here are the steps to set it up:

  • Open the SumUp app and log in using your email address and password.

  • Enter £1.00 into the keypad and tap 'Charge'. The reader turns on automatically.

  • Make sure your card reader is found by the app by tapping 'Connect' to confirm that the three-digit number shown in the app matches the last three digits of the serial number on the back of the card reader.

  • Confirm the pairing request on your smartphone/tablet and on the card reader by pressing the green tick button.

  • Pairing successful! The card reader will now sync your account information. The process takes about two minutes.
