SumUp One Terms and Conditions

1. What do you get so far when using our Standard Terms?

If you choose not to upgrade your SumUp Account to Subscription Plan, you will continue to use our Services under our Standard Terms which can be found on our website.

2. What are the SumUp One services?

SumUp One users have access to the package of services and benefits as specified on our website as well as on your dashboard which you can access at any time via your SumUp Account.

3. Purchase of Terminal

Upon upgrading your SumUp Account you are entitled to a fifty percent (50%) discount on the price of one Terminal SumUp Solo (the “Discount”). The Discount will only be available if you purchase the Terminal from our SumUp Shop. The applicable price for the Terminal is the price indicated in the SumUp Shop at the purchase order date. SumUp Terminal Purchase Terms shall apply to your purchase of a Terminal.

The Discount can be applied to the Terminal’s purchase price only once for the period during which you are subscribed to SumUp One. If you downgrade and then upgrade again to SumUp One before you utilized the Discount that you have been provided with upon your first subscription, then you may use the Discount during the period of your subsequent subscription. The Discount does not apply to any past purchases of Terminals but only to purchases following the subscription to SumUp One.You can keep the Terminal purchased upon upgrading if you choose to cancel your Subscription Plan.

If the Subscription Plan has been terminated under any circumstances described in section 6 and/or section 7 below before you exercised your right to Discount, you will still be entitled to utilize the Discount by the termination date but not after that.

4. Fees

When you become a SumUp One user, you will pay us a monthly subscription fee (“Subscription Fee”). The current Subscription Fee is set out on our website. Payment of the monthly Subscription Fee is made automatically by credit card (e.g., Visa, MasterCard) that you provided to us unless your Subscription Plan is canceled as per section 6 and/or section 7 below.

Furthermore, since you will continue to use our Services through your SumUp Account, as usual, you will pay us Fees that we will apply to you for the use of our Services and which will be deducted from your Wallet when making Payment Transactions or otherwise deducted from your Wallet where you owe them to us. The current Fees applicable to the Subscription Plan are available on our website.

When you receive payments from countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), you will be charged an additional non-EEA transaction fee. Other additional fees may apply when using SumUp One. Information about the additional fees can be found on our website.

5. Free Trial

SumUp may offer some users a free trial to SumUp One. Such a trial is subject to these Terms. Only one trial is available per user. Free trial eligibility is determined by SumUp at its sole discretion and SumUp may limit such eligibility or duration to prevent free trial abuse. Certain limitations may exist with respect to combining a free trial with any other offers.

We require you to provide your payment details to start the trial. By providing such details you agree that at the end of your applicable free trial period, your renewable subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged the Subscription Fee at the beginning of each billing cycle until you cancel your Subscription Plan as per section 6 or we end your Subscription Plan as per section 7 below. If you do not want to pay this charge, you must cancel the applicable trial before the end of the trial period in accordance with section 6 below.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your Subscription Plan or your free trial and terminate these Terms at any time and free of charge. The cancellation can be done in "Settings> Plans and Prices> Please cancel my subscription". If this is not possible or reasonable for the user, the termination can alternatively be declared in text form via email to the service provider.

The cancellation of the Subscription Plan and the termination of these Terms shall be valid from the end of the active billing period. It means that you will still be able to benefit from the services you get for your Subscription until the end of the month you have paid a Subscription Fee for.

By canceling your Subscription Plan you will be downgraded to your standard SumUp Account. You will be able to use all SumUp services available through your standard SumUp Account again without paying Subscription Fees for the Subscription Plan. The terms within the Standard Terms and the fees applicable are provided in SumUp Terms and Conditions and our Fee Schedule.

The cancellation of the applicable free trial shall be valid from the end of the trial period so that you will still be able to benefit for free from the services included in SumUp One until the end of the applicable trial period.

7. When can we end your Subscription Plan?

We may terminate these Terms and cancel your Subscription Plan at our discretion after giving you reasonable written notice if: (a) you breach any term or condition of these Terms; (b) we have reason to believe that you are in breach of any law or regulation that applies to your use of our Services; (c) we have reason to believe that you are in any way involved in fraudulent activity, money laundering, terrorist financing or any other criminal activity; (d) you pose an unacceptable credit or fraud risk to us; (e) we are required to do so by regulatory or law enforcement authorities; or (f) we have reason to believe that your SumUp Account has been compromised or otherwise poses a security risk. If the monthly Subscription Fee can not be debited in time from the credit card or the bank account, e.g. because of insufficient account coverage, your access to SumUp One will be immediately blocked. Upon receipt of payment, access to SumUp One will be released.

8. Notice on the right of revocation

SumUp provides the services within the Subscription Plan exclusively to entrepreneurs and businesses.

There is no right of revocation for all intended use of the SumUp One services we provide.

9. We can change these Terms

We have the right to change, delete, or add to these Terms, or to change the Subscription Plan at any time. If we do this, we will notify you in accordance with our legal obligations. If you do not agree to the amended terms, you must notify us before the amended terms come into effect. In this event, you may cancel your Subscription Plan and terminate these Terms free of charge. Your continued use of the services within SumUp One after the date the revised Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of those Terms.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
