Tap to Pay on Android is compatible with Android phones and tablets equipped with NFC functionality and running Android 11 or higher. You’ll also need to download the free SumUp app to accept payments.

With Tap to Pay on Android, you’ll only pay a small transaction fee of 1.69% on each payment that you take with your phone—but there are no other setup costs, monthly fees or hidden charges.

There’s no limit to the amount you can accept with Tap to Pay on Android. For transactions requiring PIN verification, customers can securely enter their card PIN directly on your smartphone. Tap to Pay on Android uses advanced technologies such as encryption and unique secure keys that create multiple layers of security to protect your payments.

Paying with Tap to Pay on Android is easy. All your customers need to do is hold their card, phone or smart device on the back of your phone until you hear a beep, notifying you that the transaction is complete.
