Small-Business Friendly Pricing

Interchange is a fee set by card schemes (MasterCard, Visa, etc.) based on the card a customer uses for the transaction. It’s a small piece of a business’ overall card processing fee that only changes per the card that is used, not the business at which it's used. Interchange fees are solely controlled by card schemes, not by SumUp.

For example, Visa charges the same interchange fee for a Bank of America credit card whether it's used at a coffee shop or boutique clothing store.

A standard fee of 2.60% + 10¢ per transaction applied across all of our card readers. Fees are applied during the payment process, which means you won’t be charged for declined or refunded transactions. There are no fees for cash transactions.

When a card transaction is disputed (either at the request of the cardholder or by the cardholder’s bank), you may receive a chargeback, also referred to as a payment dispute.

A dispute fee is a fee your credit card processing company may charge you, in addition to the reversed funds, if it finds you at fault for a chargeback. SumUp does not charge you an additional fee for a dispute.
